-the dress code is very casual. sun dresses, short and flip flops are suggested attire.

-we will be serving light hor douvres, or a cocktail buffet if you want to get fancy with it. matt won't be at the grill for this party.

good morning readers. i have been calling around to set up a hotel block for any guests needing to book a room for the engagement party. sadly, the texas democrats will be holding a convention in austin that weekend making it impossible to get a block.

my advice would be to try a few of these hotels.

1001 wedding cranes

i have taken upon the monumentous task of folding 1000 origami cranes for our wedding. according to japanese lore, folding 1,000 origami cranes is truly a labor of love. tradition holds that the bride who finishes this task before her wedding day will be rewarded with a good and happy marriage. (the groom folds the 1001th. one!?!) the crane also mates for life and is said to live for one thousand years, ensuring the couple’s good fortune. the crane will also grant one wish.

i began my quest yesterday with my first crane.

i'm feeling pretty confident i have the technique down. my flock is quite colorful so far.
